Angélica Rogel takes up the famous dramatic work of Federico García Lorca to transport it to northern Mexico of the present day, where a bride is getting ready to marry a conservative groom while she remains in love with Leonardo. Rogel’s adaptation reaffirms the universality of the text by the Spanish writer, whose thesis revolves around collective themes such as passion, life, death, conservatism, jealousy, persecution, and obviously tragic outcomes.
