Join us for a unique exhibition that weaves together themes of cultural preservation, migration, and contemporary artistic expression. The event features two significant components: “Tixinda: 40 years in the defense of car,” which celebrates the Mixteca community’s four-decade journey in preserving traditional dyeing techniques with the ancestral purple snail, reflecting their deep cultural identity. Alongside this, “Displacement by Alberto Castro Leñero” presents a mural composed of five parts, visually narrating the experiences of migration and displacement through a dynamic interplay of abstract and figurative elements. The overarching exhibition, “The horizon always moves away,” invites viewers to engage with contemporary art that addresses socio-political concerns, echoing philosopher Giorgio Agamben’s ideas of transcending temporal boundaries. Additional highlights, such as “Almarios, tales for the soul” featuring Ana López-Montes and events like “Urban Midwives,” further enrich this culturally vibrant program. This comprehensive exhibition runs until September
