Desplazamiento is a mural composed of five parts. The central theme is migration and the experience of displaced people, represented through human figures created with expressive brush strokes, brush, spatula, and squeegee, made with pigmented plastic resin on linen. The piece merges abstract and figurative elements, generating a hybrid visual language, with a geometric dimension and a linear network of random directions crossing the arches of the building’s architecture, superimposing itself on the painting as a layer that suggests routes, trajectories, or possible fractures, reinforcing the notion of displacement and transience.
