With the aim of spreading and promoting the importance of the huipil as an identity garment of indigenous peoples, as well as their traditional clothing, the exhibition “Woman Huipil. Threads and Stitches” celebrates the indigenous women who safeguard and transmit this textile art. The exhibition consists of over 100 traditional outfits from 40 indigenous communities that belong to the collection of the National Museum of Popular Cultures.
