The exhibitions “Beyond Gender” and “Urban Midwives, between Heritage and C…” will take place at the Open Gallery in the Caves of the Rejas in Chapultepec Forest. “Beyond Gender” will be held from June 16 to July 20, 2025, while “Urban Midwives” will run from May 5 to June 8, 2025, both accessible 24/7.
“Beyond Gender,” showcasing the photography of Rogelio Pereda, presents the experiences of over ten transgender and transsexual activists from Mexico, inviting viewers to reconsider their own perspectives on gender and identity while challenging traditional notions of masculinity and femininity. This project is part of a broader multimedia initiative titled “Mexicanxs LGBTTIQ+ of the 21st century,” aimed at combating homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia.
