The combined exhibition “The horizon always moves away” and “Perspectives on art and design in Mexico” presents a deep reflection on contemporary art and Mexico’s cultural legacy. “The horizon always moves away” includes works that examine the implications of the term contemporary, following the ideas of the philosopher Giorgio Agamben, and highlights the concerns of current artists in relation to the geopolitical and social environment. On the other hand, “The Impressionist Revolution: From Monet to Matisse” explores the history of Impressionism and its impact, highlighting key figures that redefined modern art. Additionally, “They design, 1965 – 2025” pays tribute to 27 women who have influenced Mexican editorial design, showcasing over six decades of innovation and creativity. Together, these exhibitions offer a comprehensive view of the evolution and diversity of art and design in Mexico, emphasizing both the historical journey and contemporary dynamics.
