Rufino Tamayo wanted the venue that would house his art collection to be located within the Chapultepec Forest for its natural beauty and cultural significance. For its construction, the artist summoned Mexican architects Teodoro González de León and Abraham Zabludovsky to design the building that is now known as the Tamayo Museum and that you can visit on a special tour.
