Christmas Caravan 2025 | Firetrucks, Lights and Holiday Cheer Through San Miguel de Allende
San Miguel de Allende’s streets come alive on Saturday, December 20, with the 2025 Christmas Caravan, a free community parade organized by The Mob Wagen in coordination with Bomberos y Paramédicos SMA. Starting at 7 p.m. by Pollo San Miguel on the Celaya road, the illuminated convoy winds its way along Ancha de San Antonio, Zacateros, Canal, Avenida Guadalupe, Calzada de la Luz and Calzada de la Aurora before finishing at Parque Zeferino Gutiérrez, one of the city’s newest and most beloved green spaces.
Designed as a family‑friendly celebration, the caravan fills the route with decorated vehicles, music and festive lights, while volunteers hand out candies and balls to children who gather along the sidewalks. For residents, expats and visitors alike, it offers a joyful way to experience San Miguel’s neighborhood spirit beyond the historic centro, turning an ordinary Saturday night into a moving Christmas spectacle that connects different corners of the city.

The Mob Wagen is a San Miguel de Allende–based VW enthusiasts’ club that has evolved into an active community organizer, using its classic car caravans and gatherings to animate the city’s streets and public spaces. As an event partner, it collaborates with local institutions such as the fire department and paramedics to produce family‑friendly happenings like the “Caravana Navideña,” combining vintage Volkswagen displays with music, shows, and civic outreach that strengthen neighborhood ties and festive culture in the city
