Gabriel Orozco: Politécnico Nacional
The Jumex Museum and the Palace of Fine Arts Museum present significant exhibitions celebrating two iconic Mexican artists. The first one, “Gabriel Orozco: National Polytechnic”, marks the artist’s first exhibition in a museum in Mexico since 2006, curated by Briony Fer in collaboration with Orozco, where his innovative techniques such as rotation, symmetry, and the materialization of time are explored. On the other hand, “Jorge González Camarena: The Unfinished Utopia” pays tribute to the Jalisco painter on the 45th anniversary of his death, reflecting on his influential career and the evolution of muralism in Mexico. Both exhibitions allow for a deep appreciation of contemporary art and its legacy in Mexican culture.
