La revolucin impresionista: de Monet …
The Impressionist Revolution: From Monet to Matisse at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) explores the fascinating history of Impressionism, from its birth in 1874 to the legacy it achieved in the early years of the 20th century. Told entirely through the exceptional collections of the DMA, this exhibition reveals the rebellious origins of the group of independent artists known as “the Impressionists” and the revolution they created in modern art. The Impressionists broke with tradition. They changed techniques, subjects, and the way they exhibited their works. In this way, they redefined contemporary avant-garde art. The unique innovations of key figures of the movement, such as Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, and Berthe Morisot, laid the foundations to which avant-garde artists of later generations responded, from Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh to Piet Mondrian and Henri Matisse.
