The exhibition ‘The Rules of the Game’ presents over 100 artistic pieces created by psychiatric patients in confinement, including objects such as cardboard boxes revealing hidden worlds, broken mirrors fragmenting identities, and hourglasses frozen in time. In parallel, ‘Epiphytic Liminalities’ by Thomas Glassford offers a sculptural intervention in the museum’s public space, merging botany, biology, sociology, and astronomy with a monumental installation inspired by marine landscapes and the work of José María Velasco, evoking a submerged floral landscape. Additionally, the Museum of Fine Arts hosts the third edition of ‘Overflowing Muralism,’ paying tribute to the 45th anniversary of Jorge González Camarena’s death. Here, artist Isa Carrillo, drawing inspiration from the mural ‘Liberation’ (1963), presents ‘Specters,’ combining archives, embroidery, and textiles, creating an innovative dialogue with the original work.
