In the framework of Pride Month PUMA, Teatro UNAM presents “Les Desertores”, a play that offers a critical perspective on gender identity and dissent through real testimonies, starring four young people who, although not professional actors, courageously and honestly address the culturally imposed binary scripts. On the other hand, the 2022 generation of the University Theater Center (CUT) presents Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible”, an allegory about witch hunts in the fifties, evoking the processes of 1692 in Massachusetts. Finally, the famous musical “The Lion King”, produced by Disney Theatrical Group, returns to Mexico City after a decade, continuing its legacy as an unforgettable theatrical phenomenon.
