Over one December weekend, the bay fills with light, music, and community energy, reflecting Los Cabos’ identity as both a world‑class beach destination and a place where Christmas traditions are reimagined on the water. The event is designed not just as a show for visitors, but as a way to “rescatar la tradición navideña,” reviving a shared sense of local holiday spirit with programming that is intentionally inclusive for people on the autism spectrum and those with disabilities.

On Saturday, December 13, the marina boardwalk becomes a Christmas fair from midday into the evening, with regional food stalls, artisan vendors, and live music setting the tone for a festive night by the sea. Both Saturday and Sunday, Médano Beach hosts the themed show “Christmas in kayak and paddleboard, the dance of the Nereids,” where performers—complete with mermaid vibes—take to the water, offering playful, photo‑ready moments against the backdrop of the bay.

The highlight comes on Sunday, December 14, when the main Mar y Christmas boat parade begins around 5:30 p.m., just as the sky shifts from sunset to night. More than 25 boats are expected to join, all covered in Christmas lights and decorations as they depart from the 8 Cascadas area, pass by La Hacienda, and complete a double loop so spectators along the shoreline and marina get multiple chances to enjoy the illuminated flotilla.
