Mexican Nativity Play & La Manta | A Christmas Night at La Paz Cultural Center
The Cultural Center of La Paz opens its doors for a free, family‑friendly evening on December 18 from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., featuring a traditional Mexican pastorela and the Christmas story La Manta, performed by the theatrical group Ollin under the direction of Maestra Guillermina Sáinz. Set in the historic center of La Paz, the performance brings to life the classic tale of shepherds journeying to meet the newborn Christ, enriched with humor, music and iconic Mexican cultural elements that make the story accessible and entertaining for all ages.
Beyond its festive atmosphere, the night doubles as a celebration of local theater, highlighting the work of a community‑based troupe that has become a reference for seasonal productions in Baja California Sur.
