**Event Description: “Explorations of Identity and Heritage”**

From June 16 to July 20, 2025, and May 5 to June 8, 2025, the Galería Abierta Grutas de las rejas del Bosque de Chapultepec will host two significant projects exploring themes of identity, gender, and cultural heritage, open 24 hours a day. The first project, “Beyond Gender,” features the photographic work of Rogelio Pereda, showcasing the testimonies of over 10 transgender activists from Mexico. This exhibition aims to challenge conventional notions of masculinity and femininity, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own concepts of gender and identity as part of a broader multimedia initiative titled “Mexicanxs LGBTTIQ+ of the 21st century,” which addresses the ongoing issues of homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia in society.
