Muralismo desbordado
The third edition of “Overflowing Muralism” will take place at the Palace of Fine Arts Museum, in conjunction with the exhibition “Jorge González Camarena: The Unfinished Utopia,” which commemorates the 45th anniversary of the death of the Jalisco painter. This exhibition not only honors Camarena’s legacy and prolific career, but also invites reflection on the evolution of Mexican muralism. Artist Isa Carrillo presents an installation titled “Specters,” inspired by the 1963 mural “Liberation,” which uses archives, embroidery, and textiles to create an innovative narrative in dialogue with the original work.
