OFUNAM | Segunda temporada 2025 | Programa 3 | Música y medio ambiente Reciclaje
In the third program of the Second season 2025 of the OFUNAM, a bridge is established between the music of the present and the past.
The program will begin with Flammes enlacées (Intertwined Flames), a work by the Mexican-Hungarian composer Aurés Moussong created in 2024 during his stay in Strasbourg. Next, Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto, composed between 1918 and 1919, will be performed, a work that reflects the repercussions of the First World War both on the composer and on British society. The second part of the concert will be dedicated to The Seasons by Alexander Glazunov, a ballet created in 1899 for the Imperial Ballet of St. Petersburg. Divided into four sections, this work represented each season of the year through various musical and choreographic episodes.
