**Event Description: “Urban Midwives and Under the Sign of Saturn”**

From May 5th to June 8th, 2025, the Open Gallery Grutas de las Rejas in Chapultepec Forest will be the stage for a double exhibition. “Urban Midwives, between Heritage and C…” explores the historical and cultural tensions surrounding the figure of the midwife, highlighting their sacred tradition in Mesoamerican cosmogony in contrast to the prejudices and criticisms of contemporary biomedical discourse. It will address how, despite often being considered “incapable” and “dangerous,” urban midwives play an essential role in community health.

Simultaneously, “Under the Sign of Saturn. Divination in Art” presents a visual journey through esoteric and divinatory practices, exploring their influence on artistic creativity throughout history.
