The Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura, alongside the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, presents a vibrant program titled “Pasión y Drama,” featuring guest conductor Jorge Mester. The performance includes compositions by Franz Liszt, Ottorino Respighi, and Dmitri Shostakovich, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Shostakovich’s passing. Meanwhile, “Expo Joya” offers a vibrant showcase of Mexican culture, art, and heritage through various exhibitions, emphasizing jewelry, influential female designers, and the artistic legacy of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo. The immersive experience “Diego y Frida. Un Universo” uses digital images and videomapping to illustrate their story and contribution to art. Additionally, the exhibition “Un cielo sin fronteras. Rosario Castellanos” celebrates the works of the influential writer to mark the centennial of her birth, featuring personal artifacts and insights into her life and legacy. Together, these events highlight Mexico’s rich cultural landscape, showcasing diversity, innovation, and the importance of heritage.
