Throughout his career, Thomas Glassford has turned public spaces into memorable encounters with plastic art. His sculptural interventions in urban environments challenge the boundaries of form and space, constructing aesthetic and cultural messages that explore themes such as botany, biology, sociology, and astronomy. On this occasion, Glassford joins the Botanical Visions program with Epiphytic Liminalities, a monumental work that combines imposing fragility. Inspired by marine landscapes and the prehistoric paintings of José María Velasco, this installation takes the form of a vegetal candelabrum, whose stems hang from the museum’s main ceiling, evoking the serenity of a submerged floral landscape.
