El Sindicato Centro Cultural Comunitario is an independent, self-managed cultural space in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, operated by El Recreo de San Miguel, A.C. since 1995. It has evolved from the former union headquarters of the La Aurora textile factory into a community venue for theater, workshops, concerts, education, recreation, and social activities. As an organizer, El Sindicato stands out for its grassroots, countercultural identity and its role as a platform for artistic creation, community access, and cultural development in San Miguel.
