The General Manuel Márquez de León Theater and Cinema is a historic cultural venue located on the west side of the main plaza in downtown Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, near the Church of Our Lady of Pilar. Opened in 1944 as one of the region’s first theaters, it was built to provide local youth with a dedicated space for cinema, theater, and the arts. Today, this restored adobe building with its classic façade and balcony seating hosts film screenings, the Todos Santos Film Festival, concerts, dance performances, and community events, serving as a beloved gathering place that reflects the artistic spirit of this Pueblo Mágico.
