The Leonora Carrington Museum in San Luis Potosí is located at Calzada de Guadalupe 705, Colonia Julián Carrillo, C.P. 78340, inside the Centro de las Artes de San Luis Potosí Centenario, a former 19th‑century penitentiary converted into an arts complex. As the first museum dedicated to this key surrealist artist, it presents more than one hundred works—including monumental bronze sculptures up to seven meters tall, jewelry, engravings, drawings, and personal objects—displayed across former cell blocks and open courtyards, creating an immersive venue where historic architecture, specialized exhibition rooms, a library, and an audiovisual hall bring Carrington’s dreamlike universe to life for visitors and cultural events alike.
