Art in Your Hands | Creative Courses for Every Age at La Biblioteca
La Biblioteca’s art studios open their doors to children, teens, adults and seniors with a monthly and quarterly program designed to turn curiosity into practice. Young painters from 12 to 18 explore color, theory and the role of painting in art history and today’s society in twice‑weekly afternoon sessions, while adult classes from 19 and up offer three‑hour morning blocks focused on observation, technique and developing a personal visual language.
Alongside painting, clay and ceramics workshops invite participants from 6 to 60‑plus to discover what it means to build something with their hands: modeling in barro for kids and teens, ceramics groups for young people, adults and older adults, and illustration classes for children that use different materials to bring stories to life. With accessible donation‑based fees, a membership requirement that keeps the community connected, and an emphasis on safe, inclusive spaces, these courses turn La Biblioteca into a year‑round hub where San Miguel residents of all ages can experiment, express themselves and grow as creators.
