SPARK: A Three-Day Immersive Experience for Creative Discovery
SPARK invites adults to step outside routine, try something new, and explore self-expression through a three-day, choose-your-own-path creative experience. Rather than teaching participants how to become artists, the program offers a welcoming space to experiment, observe, participate, and discover what happens when creative expectations are set aside.
Across exhibitions, presentations, guided sessions, open exploration spaces, and hands-on activities, attendees can engage with spoken word, poetry, performance, conversation, and artistic experimentation at their own pace. Some sessions follow a schedule, while others remain open for informal participation, making SPARK suitable for curious adults at any level of creative experience.

Organizer
Art of the Story is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit arts organization in San Miguel de Allende that uses creativity, storytelling, play, movement, and cultural expression to build confidence, empathy, connection, and personal agency. Operating as El Arte de Contar Historias, A.C. and a U.S. 501(c)(3), it raises donations and mobilizes local faculty and volunteers to make arts experiences accessible across age groups.
Its programs include free creative workshops for children through Chispa, family-centered Día de Muertos activities through its partnership with Vivos y Muertos, original live storytelling through Voices, and Spark, an immersive adult creativity experience. The organization’s central goal is to create welcoming spaces where people can explore who they are, express themselves authentically, and participate in a stronger, more inclusive community.

It is positioned as a full-service venue for larger gatherings, with strong banquet capabilities, parking, and infrastructure suited for both private and institutional events.
