A couple of weeks ago, we told you all about Día de Muertos and Halloween in Mexico City, so this week, it’s time for something a little different. Over the coming weeks, the capital will host a trio of events catering to beer lovers, foodies and “Fallout” fans alike, including a massive gathering of 170 brewers and distributors, a gourmet festival featuring more than 60 chefs, and a free fan fest celebrating the hit video game and TV franchise.
Let’s get into it.
170 brewers and distributors on tap for Expo México

Grab all your sudsy buds and head to the Expo Cerveza México. This celebration of all things beer will take place Oct. 23 to 25 at the World Trade Center convention hall in Mexico City’s Nápoles area, roughly a 30-minute drive from Centro Histórico, depending on traffic.
The event features a whopping 170 brewers and distributors, including local names like Beer Company, Falling Piano and Cervecería Chilango Banzai, as well as a handful of international brands such as Europe’s iconic Erdinger-Delirium, Vulcano Brewing from Argentina and Old Rasputin, which is making the trip down from California.
Also on tap is a special tasting room experience, organized by Catadoras y Cerveceras de México, which for the past 13 years has been working to uplift women in the country’s craft beer industry. Several tastings are planned for each of the expo’s three days, but space is limited and registration is required.
Dates: Oct. 23 and 24, 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Oct. 25, 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Location: Montecito 38, Nápoles, Benito Juárez, 03810 Ciudad de México
Cost: General admission on Oct. 23 and 24 is 380 pesos, while Sunday’s limited hours run 300 pesos. Both include a commemorative glass. There’s also a special “Friday Godin,” or “office worker,” price, which gets you into the expo for 200 pesos on Oct. 23, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Latin American flavors, culinary talent take center stage at Food and Wine Festival

If you’re looking for something a little more refined, the 6th edition of Mexico City’s Food and Wine Festival will bring more than 60 chefs and “prestigious gourmet brands” to Jardines Campo de Marte in the capital’s swanky Polanco neighborhood on Nov. 7 and 8.
This year’s theme is Un Mundo de Sabores (“A World of Flavors”), paying tribute to the varied and rich cuisine of Latin America, including the regions’ raw ingredients and “exotic recipes,” according to the event’s website.
More than just a bunch of food stalls dishing out their signature fare, the Food and Wine Festival kicks off with a Best New Chefs 2026 series, featuring some of Latin and South America’s newest culinary talent offering tastings and “experiential master classes” for attendees.
However, the flagship event will see more than 20 chefs preparing meats, shellfish, fish and rice dishes over this year’s premier cooking method — fire.
Other activities include Pacific tuna cutting demonstrations, mixology classes, ceviche preparation, and the enigmatically described “magic shows” at different times of the day.
Dates: Nov. 7 and 8, 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Location: Av. Paseo de la Reforma, Floor G, Polanco, Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo, 11560 Ciudad de México
Cost: Tickets start at 800 pesos. Right now, there’s a special flash sale with three tickets for the price of two.
