Welcome to MND Tutor! This interactive learning tool is designed to help you improve your Spanish by exploring real news articles from Mexico News Daily. Instead of just memorizing vocabulary lists or grammar rules, you’ll dive into authentic stories about Mexican culture, current events, and daily news.

Last week, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum attended the “In Defense of Democracy” summit in Barcelona, hosted by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. In doing so, she became the first Mexican president to visit Spain in eight years. During her address, she proposed redirecting 10% of global arms spending toward a large-scale international reforestation program, called for a declaration against any military intervention in Cuba, framing the message as being directed at the United States and joined Brazil and Spain in issuing a joint statement expressing concern over Cuba’s humanitarian crisis.

Discover more about Sheinbaum’s major diplomatic meeting, including a reset on previously strained relations with Spain, as we dive into MND Tutor once again.
