“Hand signals and gestures are one of those things that take a while to learn. I’d throw graphic symbols into this category, too. For example, my first year here, I did not understand the political billboards. They seemed to be saying “Vote Green Party,” but then they’d have a giant “X” over the Green Party candidate’s name.”
