Editor’s note: Mexico’s economy posted its strongest result yet in the July edition of the MND Economy Index™, rising 6.2 points to 73.1 out of 100—a score classified as “above neutral” and nearly 10 points higher than in March. The improvement was driven by lower inflation, stronger manufacturing and export performance, faster economic growth and higher productivity; for the first time, none of the index’s 10 pillars received a red-light score. Still, challenges remain in employment informality, tourism and remittance growth, as well as the investment climate.
