In less than two weeks, Sheinbaum will take the oath of office at the Legislative Palace of San Lázaro in Mexico City.

The legislation to make Oct. 1 (every six years) a holiday passed in the Senate last week, and was approved in the lower house of Congress on Tuesday.

As president, Sheinbaum will make her home in the National Palace, following a tradition started by López Obrador.
