Cocodrilo capturado en la zona de bañistas

Durante las vacaciones de Pascua, la playa Bacocho en Puerto Escondido estaba relativamente tranquila, pero muchos turistas disfrutaban del mar. De pronto, los bañistas vieron un cocodrilo de más de tres metros cerca de la orilla y entraron en pánico. Varias personas llamaron a Protección Civil y a los bomberos, quienes llegaron rápidamente a la zona. Según las autoridades, el fuerte oleaje y el mar de fondo pudieron sacar al animal de su hábitat y arrastrarlo hasta la playa. Después de inmovilizarlo, el cocodrilo fue subido a una camilla especial y trasladado a una laguna cercana, donde estaría más seguro y lejos de los turistas.
