• ser + adjetivo (what the place is):

• tener + sustantivo (what the place has):

  • La ciudad tiene muchas iglesias. – The city has many churches.

Think of it like a tourist review:

• es = what the city is (colorful, beautiful, small)

• tiene = what the city has (streets, churches, buses).

📖 Descubriendo Guanajuato

Guanajuato es una ciudad pequeña, pero muy colorida en el centro de México. Muchas casas son de colores vivos y las calles son estrechas y especiales. Hay iglesias bonitas, plazas tranquilas y miradores con vistas increíbles. Un estudiante extranjero viaja en autobús desde San Miguel de Allende y se sorprende porque el viaje es fácil y seguro. La ciudad es muy caminable y también hay Uber para moverse. Guanajuato tiene buena comida, bares y mucha vida en las noches. Para el estudiante, la ciudad es más impresionante que muchas ciudades famosas de Europa, y se pregunta por qué más personas no vienen a conocer este lugar tan único.
