At Mexico News Daily (MND), our team of nearly 75 members across 15 Mexican states is passionate about providing you with the most comprehensive and balanced English-language news and information on Mexico. Mexico is experiencing a time of unprecedented change—from booming exports, record foreign investment, a rapidly evolving economy, and a strong peso. As more people increasingly look to Mexico to live, work, invest, and play, staying informed has never been more critical. Under President Sheinbaum’s leadership, the country continues to evolve. With that in mind, the team at MND has made significant investments in our 12th year in business to keep bringing you more context, perspective and useful information about the country you care about.
Here is what’s new and what’s coming soon:
MND APP — In response to requests from readers, over the next few weeks, we will be launching the MND APP. Our app, which will be available on both iOS (Apple) and Android devices, will be a new and easier way for you to access our content—allowing you to seamlessly go between our website on your phone, computer, or tablet and the new app on your phone. Whether you are checking the morning news over coffee, catching up while traveling or reading at the end of the day, MND will be easier to access wherever you are.
MND en Español — Also in response to feedback from many readers, we will soon begin rolling out MND content in Spanish. We are excited to make more of our reporting accessible to readers, families and communities on both sides of the border. Keep an eye out for it soon.
MND Intelligence — All year long, we have been increasing our analysis and perspective content via monthly indexes on the Mexican Economy, President Sheinbaum, and the Peso to help you understand how things are going and where they are headed. We have also started a series of surveys on how expats feel about Safety, Healthcare, and Money in Mexico to help you learn from the real-life experiences of people already living here. We now publish “Mexico in Numbers” articles each week to give you a snapshot of a different facet of the country from a more visual and data-driven perspective. And more recently, we have begun a new series of “deep dive” reports that go into some of the most challenging issues facing the country—from healthcare to women’s equality to education. Our goal is to help you increasingly “connect the dots” and better understand what the day’s headlines mean for Mexico’s future. In other words, we don’t want to tell you what to think, we want to give you the information to help you think. We think that is more important than ever in an increasingly AI-centric world.
El Jalapeño — Sometimes, we all just need a little break from the heaviness of the daily news cycle—we understand. That’s why we created El Jalapeño—a satirical take on real Mexican news stories. Our goal is to make you smile, laugh, and in the process get some additional insight into Mexico’s great sense of humor.
MND Local — We continue to build out this section, with increasing coverage of local news, community coverage, upcoming events, inspiring profiles, and curated reviews of places to go and things to do to help you discover more about the places you love throughout the country. We just recently added additional Mexico City coverage to our already existing coverage of Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, San Miguel de Allende, and Los Cabos—with more on the way!
In addition, our team is working hard to continuously improve our existing offerings, including:
- Our “Mexico News Daily TV” YouTube channel and Confidently Wrong podcast.
- MND KIDS — In an effort to educate and inspire the next generation on what is happening in modern Mexico, we launched a new bilingual website that is now being used by thousands of kids in both the US and Mexico. Check it out here.
- MND Tutor and MND Quiz — Whether you are beginning Spanish, brushing up, or already conversational, MND Tutor helps you learn through real Mexico stories—not generic lessons. MND Quiz gives you a quick, enjoyable way to test what you know each week. Together, they help make Mexico feel less like somewhere you read about and more like somewhere you can participate in.

To support ongoing investments, continue to take care of our team members, and in response to the continued inflationary pressures we face from the strong Mexican peso and from our software/security suppliers, we will be adjusting our subscription prices effective October 15th. This increase will help fund the reporting, technology, security and reader experience that MND requires to keep growing.
For clarity, the new prices will apply to subscriptions beginning or renewing on or after October 15. Your current price will remain in effect until your next renewal date.
New Pricing (Effective October 15):
· Individual Plan Monthly subscription: $9.99 USD
· Individual Plan Annual subscription: $99.99 USD ($8.33/month)
· Family Plan Monthly subscription: $16.99 USD
· Family Plan Annual subscription: $169.99 USD ($14.16/month)
The MND FAMILY subscription allows up to three family members to share one account, customize their own newsletters, and enjoy unlimited access to MND Kids. If you would like to upgrade to this plan, just email us at subscriptions@mexiconewsdaily.com, and we’ll be happy to help.
At $99.99 per year, the Individual Annual Plan is just $8.33 per month—or less than 28 cents a day—for ad-free, independent coverage of Mexico.
