⚡ Grammar Focus: “Está” para describir ahora

Use estar for a current condition or state. It is your fast, friendly tool for describing what is happening right now.
  • La cuenta está aquí. — The bill is here.
  • El servicio está incluido. — The service is included.
  • Tom está contento. — Tom is happy.
For singular things, use está. To make a question, simply change your intonation:
  • ¿El servicio está incluido?
Mini truco
Think: ESTAR = temporary status or location. The bill is here; the service is included; you are happy today. Keep spotting está in real-life signs and conversations—your Spanish radar is now active.
